When Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinakann chose the motto of “immer besser” (”forever better”) for the company they started in 1899, it set a trend for the future of their products. Miele now makes high end domestic appliances including microwave ovens, fridges, washing machines and vacuum cleaners.

Britain saw the arrival of the German company in 1963 and Miele now has a global staff of around 15,000. The brand has a reputation for excellent standards, both in features and design.

Miele has had some exciting ‘firsts’ throughout its history and in the 1970s manufactured some of the world’s first computer-driven appliances. Miele continues to be a very popular manufacturer and its products are readily available online.
